Easy and Cute: 4th of July Wreath

I'll be the first to admit I'm not very "crafty". Don't ask me to sew, draw, crochet, knit, oh the list goes on and on. But after running all over town to find a wreath I loved for my front door for patriotic holidays and coming up with NONE, I decided to make my own. This was way too easy and turned out cuter than I even anticipated. It's one of those, "if I can do it, then you can do it" things for sure. I picked up all of the supplies at Hobby Lobby but any craft store will do, probably even Walmart. If you do decide to purchase your items at Hobby Lobby or Michael's be sure to download their apps on your smart phone. Their apps offer great discounts!!

All you need for these wreaths are:
+A styrofoam wreath form
+Yarn in red, white, and blue
+A garnish piece (like the star pictured) I bought mine as part of a yard stake, I removed the star from the stake and attached it to my wreath

Begin by hot gluing your starting color to the back and just start wrapping. Be sure to overlap the yarn so that the styrofoam form doesn't show thru. I just eyeballed how far to go with each color, but if you want it to be perfect measure each section and mark with pencil. Finally attach your garnish piece to it using a glue gun or craft glue. To hang it I ran a piece of like colored yarn through the section at the top and tied a loop.

The best thing about this wreath is it could easily be adapted to other holidays, by simply choosing different yarn colors and garnishes.
